Azure Ember

Azure Ember is a one-of-a-kind Wayuu “mochila,” handwoven by women of the Wayuu community in the heart of the La Guajira desert, Colombia. Over several weeks, their hands intertwine bold, colorful threads to create a piece rich in heritage, identity, and ancestral meaning. In this design, a deep azure base meets vibrant ember tones—sunset orange, golden yellow, turquoise, and magenta—woven into the strap and tassels with mastery and intention. The result is a striking fusion of desert fire and coastal serenity, captured in a single, powerful expression of Wayuu artistry.
