Desert Prism

Desert Prism is a unique Wayuu “mochila,” meticulously handcrafted by women of the Wayuu community in the heart of the La Guajira desert, Colombia. Over several weeks, their skilled hands interlace vibrant threads, bringing to life a piece rooted in ancestral memory, identity, and cultural tradition. This design reflects the shifting colors of the desert: a warm sand base contrasted by bold prism-like bursts of turquoise, fuchsia, yellow, and black.
